Angelina Jolie on the Red Carpet
at the 58th Annual Golden Globe Awards
Gracious and friendly, Angelina Jolie spent several minutes talking with fans before turning to the press cameras (most celebs give their attention to the press first and then throw a bone to the fans). With her hair pulled into a classy chignon, perfectly applied makeup and gorgeous figure, Angelina looked tanned, healthy and glamourous in a champagne-colored Versace gown.
Angelina famously jumped into the Beverly Hilton Hotel's swimming pool in her beaded Randolph Duke gown after her win at the 1999 Golden Globes!
2001 was the year for Angelina's husband, Billy Bob Thornton, who starred in three major films (Bandits, The Man Who Wasn't There and Monster's Ball). On December 20, 2001,the Thornton's received word that Billy Bob earned two Golden Globe nominations for his work: Best Actor - Comedy (Bandits) and Best Actor - Drama (The Man Who Wasn't There).
In addition, Angelina's estranged father, Jon Voight, earned a nomination for his portrayal of Howard Cosell in Ali. He'll compete in the Best Supporting Actor category.
Tune into the 59th Annual Globe Globes on January 20, 2002 to see who takes home the trophies.
